Kathryn Weesner, M.D., is the Assistant Director of Mobile Anesthesia Care and Director of Pediatric Office Based Anesthesia. Dr. Weesner is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the College of William and Mary and completed her medical degree at the Medical College of Virginia, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha. She began her anesthesiology career with the United States Air Force as Chief of Obstetric Anesthesia, 59th Medical Wing, and directed anesthesia services for the 29-bed labor and delivery unit at Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

After completing her active duty service in 2004, Dr. Weesner joined Anesthesia Associates of Kansas City and practiced for a decade as a pediatric anesthesiologist at Children’s Mercy Hospital, where she was involved in several research endeavors. Though experienced in caring for critically-ill neonates to medically complex adults, she is happiest when personally providing individualized care – one patient at a time – in the ambulatory, office-based environment. Dr. Weesner is board certified in both Anesthesiology and the sub-specialty of Pediatric Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Kathryn and her husband Chris have two children and reside in suburban Kansas City. She enjoys hiking, skiing, and water sports with her family and friends. One of her favorite outdoor activities is adventure racing with her daughter.
